One of the hidden gems of Carpathians is the Women’s Cave in Romania. Fully arranged for easy access and nicely lighted, it is hosting a bats colony (more detailed bats photos here), lots of odd-shaped limestone formations and some wise local legends ๐ While the legends can only be heard from locals, everything else can be photographed and brought online – which I quickly did, see the images below:
All images shot with good’ol’ Canon 5d MkII and a 17-40 f4L, of course on tripod and again with remote control. Exposure times vary between 2 and 20 seconds and sometimes in some portions of the scene I flashed a manually held strobe directed as necessary. Ok, sometimes I did it more than once, for same exposure ๐

Nice
Amazing pictures. Been there and must say that I’m tented to visit the other 4 km of forbidden galleries. Has anyone else been there. It would be great if someone tells us stories or legends about this cave.
